Saints prepare for NFL Draft 2017

Philadelphia-  The wait is over for the 2017 NFL draft!

The New Orleans Saints have two first round picks and as a Who Dat fan, you have to hope that they are planning to pick good defensive players this year.

In the first round, the Saints have the 11th and  32nd pick. The Patriots traded their 32nd first round pick for Saints WR Brandin Cooks.

General manager Mickey Loomis held a 25-minute press conference Wednesday about th future of the Saints.

The most recent additon to New Orleans came this week when they signed 10-year veteran, Adrian Peterson. Although Peterson is “older” and will play back up to running back Mark Ingram, the 32-year-old still can run a 40 in 4.4 seconds.

Defensive tackle, Sheldon Rankings was the 12th overall pick in the first round last year for the Saints. He averaged four sacks as a rookie.

The future of Who Dat nation appears bright although some do not agree with the Peterson pick, they sure can have great faith and hope in this draft.

The NFL draft will air tonight in Philadelphia on the NFL network at 7 p.m.

Here’s a list of the rounds and picks that the Saints have:

Round 1 – 11th

Round 1 – 32nd

Round 2 – 42nd

Round 3 – 76th
