Las Vegas, NV (PPN) – Hall of Famer O.J. Simpson got away with murder and ended up back in jail but the former NFL superstar may have a third chance at freedom this upcoming fall. Simpson, who just made 70 years old Sunday, has a parole hearing set for July 20.
Retired District Attorney David Roger won the 2008 conviction against The Juice for robbery and kidnapping in Clark County but says Simpson may be a free man come October.
“The guy did a lot of time on a robbery charge, I expect he’ll probably be paroled,” Roger reported to The New York Post.
Simpson was sentenced to 30 years in prison and has gained a lot of weight while serving time and now uses a cane.
“I can only get mediocre health care in here, and it really pisses me off because I have the money to go to any specialist in the world to get knee surgery but they won’t let me leave to get help,” he said. “They don’t give a damn that I am going to end up crippled and can’t walk for the rest of my life,” according to Black america web.com
He has dealt with health issues for the past few years and now weighs 350 pounds from eating junk food. During last summer he was treated for kidney stones twice and it may lead to kidney failure.
