Fontenot served as a police officer for many years and stated, “the law I once believed in is deteriorating and becoming more scandalous than the people they suppose to protect”.
On July 6, DeJuan Guillory and his girlfriend Dequince Brown was followed by Deputy LaFleur as they were four wheeling. Once the cop pulled them over and asked for identification, Guillory justified why they did not bring their ID’s. They left their ID’s to prevent them from being damaged or lost when they went frogging.
The police officer did not give them a warning or write a citation for not having proper identification present, instead he allowed the situation to get out of hand and it resulted in he death of an innocent father.
Even after Guillory complied with the officers demands, his life was still taken. To read the full story and listen to an exclusive interview with Brown’s lawyer, click here.
