UPDATE: EBRSO found both safe in Baton Rouge.
Baton Rouge, LA (PPN) – East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies are asking for the public’s help to find missing 50-year-old grandmother Shalanda Bennett and her 1 1/2 year old grandson Ja’quarious Stewart.
They were last seen leaving a home on Southpark Drive, near Coursey Blvd and Airline Hwy. No one has heard from them since they left there this past Saturday, February 25.
Shalanda Bennett was driving a 2004 light blue single cab Dodge Ram with a toolbox in the bed. License plate: X703040. They were headed to an address off of Scenic Hwy but never arrived.
The child, Ja’quarious Stewart, has brown eyes and short black hair. He was last seen wearing gray and black batman shorts and t-shirt. The grandmother has thin medium length black hair, 5’1″, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue shirt and dark blue capris.
