Chicago, IL (PPN) – Former President Barack Obama’s birthday has officially been declared as “Barack Obama Day” in the state of Illinois.
Governor Bruce Rauner declared August 4 as a holiday that will be celebrated each year starting next year, according to NBC Chicago.
Barack Obama Day honors the 44th President of the United States of America. Obama served as a State Senate and U.S. Senator.
Some lawmakers declined from voting on the bill, but it passed without a single vote against it in both houses.
