Beggar stabs man at College Dr. gas station

Baton Rouge, LA (PPN) – A Livingston parish man was stabbed Sunday around 2 a.m. in front of a Circle K on College Drive in Baton Rouge, according to witnesses.

Aron Becnel was outside of the Circle K when he approached the man and asked him for money.

“When the victim refused to give him money, the suspect became angry, starting a verbal altercation with the victim,” the police report says. “While having the verbal altercation, according to (witnesses), Aron Becnel pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the stomach”, according to WAFB.

Witnesses the 53 year old man of Port Allen, down with force until the police arrived. He was booked and charged with 2nd degree battery and resisting an officer.

The victim suffered severely and is scheduled for surgery Monday morning at a Baton Rouge hospital.
