Charlottesville, VA (PPN) – The Civil Rights Movement began over 50 years ago and still today African-Americans are being beaten and violently attacked by the largest racist gang in America.
White supremacists and the Klu Klux Klan rioted in Charlottesville last weekend killing one person and hospitalizing several others. Deandre Harris, 20, and some of his friends were protesting when the KKK brutally attacked the young men.
Five men repeatedly punched, hit, and kicked Harris with weapons. One of the racists men was identified as Daniel “Dan” Borden. Borden is still at large.
“They were beating me with poles. I have eight staples in my head, a broken wrist and a chipped tooth,” Harris told The Root in an interview.
A photo taken by Zach D. Roberts showed men standing over Harris with poles, beating him to the ground.
Black Lives Matter Activist Shaun King offered a $10,000 reward for the identification of the men in the photos below who assaulted Harris.
King stated “Not only is it felony assault, but I have spoken to witnesses who heard these men use racial slurs against Deandre throughout the assault.”
