3 killed, 1 injuried in Gentilly quadruple shooting

New Orleans, LA (PPN) – On Friday morning, police responded to a quadruple shooting in the 4200 block of Touro Street in New Orleans. The shooter shot four people in the home and one is fighting for her life. The other three victims did not survive.

Monique Smith, 30, and her two sons Jumyrin Smith, 6, and Justin Simms, 10, were shot and killed in their home around 4 a.m. They were all pronounced dead at the scene.

Relatives say the other victim is Smith’s daughter.

Smith and her boys were shot in the head inside their bedrooms. She was the head cook at Ted’s Frostop Diner for four years. According to reports, the family had moved into the home about a year ago.

NOPD described the scene as ‘very horrific’. Police are still searching for the suspects and no motive has been determined.
