Southern University places Vice Chancellor Brandon Dumas On Administrative Leave

BATON ROUGE – Southern University System President Dr. Ray L. Belton, placed Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Dr. Brandon K. Dumas, on administrative leave pending a complete review of the procedures, practices, and activities of the Southern University Baton Rouge Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management.

Dr. Luria Young, Interim System Executive Vice President Provost, will assume responsibility of the Division until further notice.

The university did not reveal what circumstances prompted the announcement.

The statement reads:

Today, Southern University System President Dr. Ray L. Belton, placed Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Dr. Brandon K. Dumas, on administrative leave pending a complete review of the procedures, practices, and activities of the Southern University Baton Rouge Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. Dr. Luria Young, Interim System Executive Vice President Provost, will assume responsibility of the Division until further notice.

Pen Point News reporter reached out to the University regarding the reason why Mr. Dumas was put on administrative leave, No Comment was provided.

Dumas was alleged to be involved in a sex tape that was leaked via social media earlier this week.
