BATON ROUGE – Dr. Brandon Dumas has sued Southern University alleging the Board of Directors did not follow correct procedures during his appeal.
Dumas’ attorneys argue that the president of the university made the sole decision to terminate him.

In July, Southern announced it was parting ways with Dumas, a vice chancellor, after allegations of a sex tape on the internet that involved a student.
During the hearing preceding, Dumas was told his last day would be August 10.
Dumas’ suit was assigned to Judge Janice Clark
