More than 200,000 Plastic iPhone Cases Recalled in Three Countries

MixBin Electronics sold glitter iPhone cases designed for iPhone 6, 6s, and 7 were recalled in U.S., Mexico, and Canada.

“If the case cracks or breaks, the liquid will leak out and come in contact with people’s skin,” MixBin stated.

Nearly 270,000 glitter iPhone cases were designed to encase a clear liquid filled with glitter. MixBin received 24 reports of burns or skin irritation when the liquid leaked or the cases cracked, according to CNN.

One person reported swelling on her face, neck, and upper chest. Another suffered from permanent scarring.

The cases were made in China and sold online via Amazon, Tory Burch, Victoria’s Secret, and Nordstrom Rack.

Customers should contact MixBin for a refund and immediately stop using the recalled cases.
